A scab healed over
my burned knuckle.
This brought both
relief from the tenderness
and a slight itch.
The latter was quite uncomfortable
but,
it meant that it was not infected
which I was thankful for.
It was a careless injury.
A knuckle pressed to a hot pan
a slip.
My brain couldn't react fast enough.
Too, too bad.
